Kaleigh's Holiday Picks Part I:
Crafting - So I'm not the most skilled crafter, but I do like to try, especially during the holidays. Making your own decorations, and even gifts, can be a lot of fun and a way to bring your own personality to holiday festivities. When I was a child my Dad created a homemade advent calendar for my brother and I, a drawing of the small Arctic town my family lived in when my brother was born. There were little flaps to lift up for each day of December, with tiny drawings of polar bears, people skiiing, and other local sights, underneath each one for us to enjoy. We loved it. It was simple, but the memories we have of it are priceless. I've seen ideas for homemade advent calendars on a few different blogs, but I think this one is my favourite.
Treats - How can I even begin to list all the delicious holiday goodies I look forward to every year? I know most people have traditions about what cookies, candies, etc. they make at this time of year, so I will just suggest this one special favourite of mine. For now anyway. My Granny always makes Hello Dollies, easy to make and perfect for gatherings of family and friends!
Cozy things - We have a variety of cozy accessories to keep you warm here at Luvly - wool socks, scarves, hats and mittens. My favourite right now are these mittens from Preloved, in many colours!
