Luvly Round-Up II

This week we're all about summer dishes, finding our way in Paris, and loving Lunenburg.

Alicia's Picks

EAT: I love the simplicity of this Salsa Verde Recipe, I can't wait for tomatillo season! This recipe will definitely make it into one of my bi-weekly taco nights.

TRAVEL: I've been thinking about travel since I saw my folks off on their three-week European vacation, and these guides by Herb Lester will be my go to on my next trip over the Atlantic. Their Guide to Paris looks particularly tempting..

ART: This beautiful papercraft image caught my eye and imagination. It always amazes me what can be created from a sheet of paper!

BLOG: Find gorgeous Swedish-Japanese inspired design ideas from babyramen. This combination of influences makes for gorgeous home decor photos.

STYLE: I'm all about shoes these days, and these Architectural Tour Heel in Teal by Chelsea Crew would compliment many a summer outfit.

Johanna's Picks

BLOG: Messy Nessy Chic blogs about the off-beat, the unique and the chic, tackling everything from food and fashion to art and architecture.

ART: Mariko Paterson is a new arrival to the South Shore. She creates some of the most fun and functional ceramics I have ever seen.

EAT: With summer here I find my thoughts turning to... ice cream! Here in Lunenburg the place for ice cream treats is Sweet Treasures Confectionery. Not only do they make their own ice cream but they make their waffle cones too. They also have a nice selection of homemade fudge if you are so inclined.

READ: David Sedaris has a new book out called Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls. Anyone who is a fan of his sardonic humour should pick this up.
