Many of our customers ask us about the history of our storefront building, and we thought we’d share our answer with our blog readers.
We are fortunate to be located in the historic Burns Block Building on Lincoln Street in Old Town Lunenburg. Local merchant, Harold C. Burns, built the Burns Block as a mixed-use retail and office building.
The Burns Block Building currently houses two of Lunenburg’s distinct stores, Luvly in Lunenburg, and our sister shop, The Lunenburg Makery.
On the second floor, the office suites consist of a total of nine rooms that retain their original character and rich wood finishes. This space is currently home to several small business operations.
Love the look of our building? The Lunenburg Makery now has tote bags for sale ($15) that feature an illustration of the Burns Block Building. The drawing is by artist Kat Frick Miller of Fox Acre Row.
