SHOP: My favourite craft show is coming up in less than two weeks, and I wanted to share the news! If you haven't heard of Halifax Crafters, you are in for a treat. Shop for everyone on your list, get your Christmas cards, fill your kiddies stockings full of handmade goods. They've got a full compliment of food vendors, from chocolates to lunchtime eats, and coffee too, so bring a friend and make a morning of it! Nov 30th + Dec 1st, find the event and RSVP here.
WISHLIST: Santa, if you're listening, I'd love this gorgeous throw blanket by Appalatch. The blanket was produced in collaboration with The Oriole Mill, and the final product is definitely made to be a family heirloom.
DIY: If I had a desktop computer, I would be making this mousepad tonight! I love the snowy mountain peaks and dotted fabric 'snow'.
ART: Toronto artist Carly Waito paints up incredibly realistic portraits of rough Gemstones. Her paintings are so realistic you will be rubbing your eyes and scratching your head at the same time.
FILM: Wes Anderson has a new movie coming out that I am highly anticipating. The Grand Budapest Hotel is sure to be as charming as his other works.
FASHION: It's hard to know what is ethical fashion in the world today. Even thrifting is coming under fire. My advice, shop local. Charities like the Salvation Army get all of their donations locally.
