PEOPLE: Apollo Robbins is an expert in proximity manipulation, diversion techniques, and attention control. He is able to steal from a person whom he has just told that he is going to take their wallet. He first made the national news when he pickpocketed the Secret Service agents who were protecting then US President Jimmy Carter. Apollo uses his skills to entertain and amaze, but also for teaching purposes. He studies human behaviour and attention, and where we focus our attention. The good news? He's also known as 'The Gentleman Thief', because he always returns what he stole.
TRICK OR TREAT: These eyeball lollipops are too creepy to eat, they would be fun for a Halloween dinner party or for special little ghosts and ghouls.
MAKE: I'm a big cranberry fan, you'd know this if you saw the 8 pounds of berries I picked at Terra Beata Cranberry Farm this past weekend. Last night I tried out a new recipe for Pickled Cranberries. There was some brine leftover, and I'm planning to use it to make a fruit shrub cocktail for my next ladies night!
DESIGN: Magical marbled hardwood flooring, yes please. Snedker Studio makes incredible 'Marbelous Wood'.
MAKE: With Halloween just around the corner, this cute succulent pumpkin family belongs on my doorstep. They aren't very scary, but are festive and fun.
TRAVEL+ART: I saw so many posts of Ai Weiwei's installation Forever Bikes at Toronto's Nuit Blanche a few weeks ago and quickly fell in love. Displayed until October 27, if you are in Toronto head over to Nathan Phillips Square and take a shot of this amazing art work. Be sure to tag us in the photo on Instagram so we can vicariously take in the view — @luvlyinlunenburg.
